Ed and Janet Howle

Ed and Janet Howle are avid adventurers and authors embarking on a journey 14,000 miles west crossing the U.S., China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and ending in Paris, France.

Also experienced ocean sailors, Ed is a retired University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill economics professor while Janet worked as a pediatric physical therapist. The two jointly invented a walker that is an international best-seller and has revolutionized the way children with cerebral palsy walk. Additionally, they are authors of "The Long Road to Paris," a story of espionage and dangerous liaisons set in the first around-the-world car race to occur in 100 years.
