I am writing this in the New Year's resolution time of year. Many people think that they should lose weight or at least get physically fit. Many will choose to do so by walking or running, and some of those will wonder whether they should buy a treadmill or just do their walking or running outside. Here are a few thoughts from someone who has spent a lot of time, and some of your tax dollars, doing both.
