Grateful to Live in America

Grateful to Live in America

"I am most grateful, above all, to be in America. To have the ability and opportunity to work, worship and learn is not to be taken for granted," says Chad Hartwell.

"I am very grateful that my father made it through World War II, my father-in-law through Korea and myself through Vietnam," he says. "If not, there would be no loving marriage to my wife of 39 years, there would not be two wonderful people in the world like my son and daughter, and, above all, there would not be three loving grandsons that are going to grow up and continue to make this world a better place.

"I am thankful that I follow my heart and have my mother's soul and desire to help others," says Hartwell.

Chad Hartwell, 61, is a photographer living in Wilmington, North Carolina, with his wife.
